The Misadventure of Tardy Areri
Commuting is always a struggle for Manila BPO employees like me. Most call center owl deals with travel adventures all the time. ATTENDANCE is strict for most companies and if one just eaned enough memos, he'll be a goner. Since we work during times most people sleep, transportation should always be strategized. In some nights you may miss last trips of jeepneys and trains. And sometimes, traffic jams can be so bad.
My shift is at 12am every night. I gotta be out at 930pm if I want to catch the last jeepney trip to Makati since I am from Bulacan. Trip can take from an hour to two, depending on your perseverance or luck. I always wanted to keep myself out of strain, so give myself more time allowace.
But last night, I was kinda lazy and I wanted to hang with my Shinchan more. It was almost 945pm that I was able to get to the jeepney terminal. In my grimace, the Monumento-bound jeepney had just filled its last available seat and went it go. I miss it in seconds!
Next plan is to take the tollgate-bound jip. From then I will take the last AUV to North Ave. I wasn't sure though if I could catch it as well. I arrived at the AUV term and luckily I was able to get on. It's 1015pm now as I checked my low end android phone's clock. If I get to North Ave later than 1030pm, I would be in trouble.
1040pm, I arrived at the next destination. Now I need a bus to Magallanes. A fast, fast one! Good thing I got a Nova bus, the king of the road. A Killer bus! It's so fast, it sometimes clash. At this point, I didn't care. I feel my adrenaline rushed!
1125pm, I was still on the road. If I wasn't too lazy, I could've been at work by now.
Hmm.. I dropped off in Guadalupe. If I stayed on this bus, it will take the more stop lights at the upper ramps. Trip will take longer. I got on the bus with the lower ramp signage. I am almost there. 1145pm. Sulks! Vehicles were bumper to bumper. The pace seemed like eternity. Finally, I got off to the bus stop. My building is just across the rotonda. A long walk. I ran as fast as my week knees can. 1155pm. The elevator was not cooperative! I pushed the down button already, but it shot up past my floor. Finally, I got on the other door. I quickly left my bag at the receving desk. I could care less about it right now. My priority is get to log in to Avaya asap! I know I am definitely late. I stormed the hallway and went straight to the productions. "Am I late," I ask my teammates. To my surprise, it's 1158pm. Wow. I just remebered my celphone should been timed in advance.

MyMRT
My Favorite Android Applications
1. Camera360- my fixed Android cam has error that says "please insert sd card." I had never been able to re
cord and take pictures for months now with it. Lucky, I downloaded Camera360. What so great about it is that it has "Magic Skin" function which is like instant Photoshop! No need for retouch!
2. Combo YouTube Mobile and Freedi YouTube Downloader- This duo should always be together. The mobile YouTube allows you to access the site plus the comments and recommended videos. Amazingly, they work both on wifi and 3g. Even with edge and GPRS! And with Freedi you can download clips as much as 24 minutes!
3. PicsArt- Literally, you can edit pictures on the go. Collage, texted pics and styles! Then post auto to Facebook!
4. PDF e-book reader- Download some e-books and read them while being anywhere- on the mrt, while waiting for your date at the mall. I like to read it before I sleep.
Finally,
5. Officesuite- I am starting my blog and I can't upload my work straight from the phone. What if an idea comes up? I would just write it on my mobile Word and upload it on my desktop later. I had a social network blog before, and I use my Android Note to save files. But since I can only upload my writing to the desktop, and Note don't save, this comes handy.
